This week has been so interesting. Full of miracles, but none of them
are exactly what I would have chosen for yourself if you know what I
mean. Life is so full of surprises, and it's incredible to know that
all of these little surprises are a part of the Lord's grand plan for
us. Not only did He create the Plan of Salvation that allows all of
His children to return to His presence, but He is also designing
intricately detailed plans for each of us. He has a large scale
mindset, with the eternal ability to perfectly plan the details. He
knows me. He is aware of my weaknesses, strengths, and desires, and He
gives me helps guide me so that I live the kind of life I need in
order to grow. He wants me to succeed!! He only gives me challenges
because He knows that they will eternally impact my life.
I have a testimony that every decision we make can either bring us
closer to Christ, or pull us further from Him. Jesus Christ is our
perfect example. If you are ever unsure about a decision to make, no
matter how cliche it may seem, think to yourself "What would Jesus
do?" Now what if you don't receive an answer from that? Then read the
Book of Mormon!! It is the most correct book on the planet and it
testifies of Jesus Christ. Every time I read the Book of Mormon I
learn a little more about Christ, and a lot more about the kind of
person that I want to become.
We have seen a lot of miracles this week. And you know what I love?
That it's entirely because of the tender mercies of The Lord. He is
guiding our every step, and every person who comes into contact with
us. The elders met this incredible woman at the train station the
other day. She came to church for English class on Wednesday. When we
were giving her a church tour, we walked into the chapel and she was
overcome with emotion. She had been to an LDS church when she was
younger, and hadn't really been interested in church. But now she
really was curious about the meaning of life, and again felt the good
feelings that she had felt at the church 30 years earlier. She told us
all about her life, and literally everything that has ever happened to
her led her to meeting us and coming to this church. The Lord works
inspired, and His timing is impeccable.
We are keeping as busy as ever. Striving to talk to everyone, enjoy
the moment, and laugh when things get awkward (which, if you know me,
then you know that happens more often than not). Enjoying the rain,
appreciating the rainbows, and letting others know how much I love
them. Life is good. I am happy. I know that this is Christ's church
upon the earth.
Love from Kichijoji.
