I really really love being a missionary.
It's the best decision I've ever made, and it's completely changed my
life. I love teaching, I love talking, and I love rejoicing with the
people of Japan. They really are so intellectually prepared for the
gospel. They are so smart, and desire truth. And I get to help guide
them in their journey to drawing closer to Christ! I love life :)
My new companion Sister Matsuzaki is a hoot! Just completely perfect
at getting along with others and making new friends. She amazes me! We
are charming everyone who walks in our path, and laughing our heads
off all the time. I love it! She teaches me a lot of great vocabulary,
and her dream is to go to BYU Idaho... So I get to talk up my home
state all the time! It is the best!
I bore my testimony in church on Sunday, and a little 4 yr old boy,
Takahito, he just kept waving to me. I was dying. My heart melted.
I'll take a picture with him tomorrow at Kid's English class so you
can understand the level of adorable. My heart melts a little.
Tomoko San loves the law of chastity. She is golden. It's so exciting
when you teach a principle of the Gospel, and your friend is like,
"Hey, I'm already living that, and I love it! I am so grateful for the
power it brings into my life, and I know that it is something God has
prepared to protect my family." It only helps strengthen your
testimony too.
My favorite Scripture this week: Alma 19: 13. Christ was born for us!
Heavenly Father sent Him to this Earth for us, because He loves us.
And Christ gave His whole life for us. He lived to set the perfect
example, and He suffered to save us from our sins and sorrows. Then
He died and was resurrected, so that when we die, we might live again!
He loves us with a perfect love that I wish I could describe. I am so
so so grateful.
I love you all and hope you remember the reason of the season. Also,
don't be afraid to pray for miracles. They will happen. They might not
be the miracle you were expecting, but they will be exactly what you
need.
Love always,
