Last week was simply incredible and I am so excited to see how it will influence the next few transfers.
On Tuesday, we got to have a conference with Elder Whiting of the 70. He encouraged us to have the faith to find people who are ready to be baptized. He said that if other missions could do it, our mission could! It seems as though a stereotype for Japan is that there aren't people here ready to be baptized, but God loves all His children, so why would Japan be any different than Brazil? It all depends on our attitude going into proselyting! We can do it!
Our mission president chose a few missionaries to have personal interviews with Elder Whiting, and I was one of the lucky few! To learn at the feet of someone who works closely with the quorum of the 12 was an incredible opportunity! He was so encouraging and kind! What makes his visit even better is that his wife is one of the missionaries who taught my mission president!! She is simply amazing! They really are the kinds of people I want to become.
On Wednesday we had Music Night! Tons of missionaries and investigators came and it was such a good time to just relax with people and really get to know them. It was a great opportunity to make new friends and share about the church!
Friday was sports night. I love sports night. I love playing badminton with my companion who is apparently a professional. I love accidentally kicking the soccer ball at an elder's face. Those are the kinds of moments money just can't buy. (in a fun friendship we laughed about it afterwards kind of way)/
This week is going to be crazy, but we're excited!!
I wish I had time to write more, but today is busy as always :)
Love you all!! Thank you for your friendship, and Merry Christmas!! Remember, Christ is the Reason!
Love always,
